Part 3
Final Production
After realizing certain aspects we have arrived to the final shape.
Me attaching the rocks on the pvc pipes. I used multiple pliers and drill to chisel the live rock to fit on the pipes.
Once I was done with the zip ties and pvc I have covered the bottom and the gaps with instant foam. Instant foam expends quite a bit so, when applying use with digression.
After all the bottom parts of the rock covered.
Center overflow and the durso pipe. I will refer back to the durso pipe and why I hose not to use it.
Once the foam was cured, we have used crushed live rock and epoxy to cover the foam and give it a "natural" look. the other reason to cover the foam is due to the long exposure to light foam may start to break down in the future.
We have used toothbrush to spread the epoxy, this is a tedious thing to do, so get some help if you can.
Sitting in the cube
Final product, I ended up not using the durso pipe in this picture, due to the sheer size of it, especially after being covered in foam, it really did not have a pleasant look.
I used my variation of stockman pipe. This method takes significantly less space, and I was able to add an overflow logic to the stockman without using a separate chamber.
